I recently got my foofpod and foofbag, and what a joy they were!

I ordered the well-spotted foofpod (cow looking) and the afro-stripe (zebra looking) foobag. Both have faux fur as the material.

If you are interested in looking for a review of another material known as courduroy (Parallel Lines series, Colour Split series)

See them at www.foofpod.com or www.foofbag.com

*note: the afro stripe foofbag is NO LONGER AVAILIABLE. there is only the well-spotted foofbag now. (as of 4th March 2005)

Mooooooo.... The well spotted foofpod.

I am a zebra! The Afro-stripe foofbag

1. Material - Faux Fur

Please not that this section of the review is only applicable to faux fur foof products as i only have this material with me. Other materials do not give the same feel (duh!).

These two faux fur foofs are really nice and comfy to touch. They feel like a nice carpet!

Although they do feel furry, the length of the fur is very short, so it will give you a nice feel, but would not trap dirt like a normal carpet.

Even if it does catch anything, patting it off is really easy as the fur is short.

foof Red Tab bags/pods

2. Looks

Again, only applicable to these two designs.

Looks are very subjective, but here's my 5-cents worth (sorry, Singapore no more 1 cent coins, thats y)

If you intend to get a foofpod and foofbag, try to get two the same material (ie corduroy foofpod + bag or faux fur foofpod + bag). They would look very nice in your bag, blending with each other nicely.

Anyways, i wouldnt buy them if they were ugly right?

3. The Snug Fit - foofpod

These foofs really provide a snug fit. i use a 4G 20GB iPod, and they are real snug. your iPod would only come out when your hands commands for it you come out. no accidental pop-outs.

warnings for those with iPod Photos though, my cousin reported that the 40GB Photo fits in VERY SNUG (ie very tight) as it is thicker.

there is a bit of cushioning, but don't count on it to keep your pod totally safe if it falls down 2 storeys off a building. a few bumps in your pocket? i think that little padding can do enough.

here's how much padding, and how your pod looks when its inside.

4. The Snug Fit - foofbag

Super tight. thats all i have to say. your foofbag would hug your iBook as if they are gonna fall of the front of the Titanic. putting your iBook your foofbag would take a bit of effort, but it is really nice and tight, no extra cloth dangling around.

5. Overall Thoughts

The quality of the foof products speak for themselves. they are really of a good quality, have a nice fit to your Apple products. They may be a little expensive, but they are worth every cent you paid for.

Umm... clearer pics. Tongue

For example, that pic which shows your foofpod, with your iBook in the background, the focus should be on the iPod, not the iBook. LOL... Grin But I'm being picky la. Lips Sealed

a couple of question though : it seems from the size difference of the foofpod and ipod that its likely for the ipod to drop out? and there is no drawstring to tighten the foofpod?

the size difference doesnt matter. there is a little bit of padding, thats y there is a size difference.

if you asked all the foof owners, they would say that the foofpod is VERY tight.

check out the pic where i held the foofpod wif my iPod upside down. i was only holding the foof, but not the iPod.

another similar picture is in Kristian's review of his foofpod.

i dunno whether to get the foofpod now since i am using a clear plastic casing for my ipod. Are the foofpods available only online or those the apple shops stock them?

check it out at MacShop at Funan. its placed along with the rest of the iPod accessories at the back section of the store. if i'm not wrong its S$39.

buying direct from foof takes longer, but saves you about $10.
